It’s been a hot minute since I posted on music so here is my lead for you this week.

San Francisco is ever morphing and ever changing. San Francisco’s music scene is ever- morphing and ever changing. And happening this week  NOISEPOP is celebrating its 25 year run.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with The Noisepop Festival, it’s a Festival that takes over different venue showcasing bands, art, and film. It’s kind of a Where’s Waldo adventure in a way because you are the one with the pass or show ticket and you show up to the venue. Festival goers who have the week long passes make their way and venue hop checking out the different NOISE POP makers. This is a time to take in what the current San Francisco scene is music + culture+ ole skool + tech  + people reacting = This year’s Noise Pop has grown. I find it cool that it offers free and paid shows, this is always cool. So people can at least go do stuff on the cheap, you just have to get to the showcase spots. It’s also a special time in a band’s career to be playing at festivals like these because they are still accessible and there is a high probability you may be able to get a quick meet n’ greet. You get the new record and an autograph and support the band it’s a win win. The best part is that you may see a band you never heard of or had an impromptu experience of some kind that really blows your mind. (EVEN BETTER)

Upon perusing the Noisepop handbill of all the shows there was the film stuff, of course they were one day one off you had to be there showcases or podcast answer / question lectures that is something I am gonna need to get on top of for next year.

Bands on the bills are on touring, local, a mix bag of tricks. A good number of them are making their way to SXSW which happens in Austin, TX in March. So if you cannot make your way to SXSW and you live in the Bay this is a good showcase festival.

Noisepop also is connected and for those who are far away never fear they have a website, and I know that live podcasting of shows and interviews are happening so go and GOOGLE.

The rain has finally let up get out and go to something fun with your friends, make new friends. San Francisco will always be a potluck of music genres and experiences it’s what we each bring to the table to share. My wish for all of you this week is MUSIC + RAINBOWS + AND REALLY LIVING THE SAN FRANCISCO EXPERIENCE.

This week I have worked some shows and worked for a band or two, and it really always amazes me that the San Francisco stop is such a hi-light on tour. I can’t tell you that bands no matter what level they love playing San Francisco. There will always be something energetic, nostalgic, and memorable that this city offers artists. There is something that happens when you cross one of our two iconic bridges, and then making your way through the city, driving through the different neighborhoods finally making it to sound check.
